Rob McGregor  

Rob McGregor, our founder, is one of Australia’s leading financial planning practitioners and thinkers. With over 30 years of experience in the financial planning industry, Rob has helped hundreds of clients realise their financial dreams. He is the founder of McGregor Wealth Management as well as the co-founder of GPS Wealth, a national financial advisory group with over 150 financial advisors.

Recognizing that only a small percentage of Australians consult financial planners for retirement and even fewer reach financial independence, Rob's mission is to make the tools and strategies used by top financial planners available to everyone.

Rob’s expertise and innovative approach have earned him and his associated businesses widespread recognition, including multiple prestigious awards. These accolades include Sunshine Coast Business of the Year (twice), a place among the BRW Top 100 Firms, Adviser of the Year, and more, reflecting a track record of excellence and trust from his clients.

Outside work, Rob is a keen surfer and active member of his local surf club including as a Board Member, Treasurer, Life Member, Patrol Captain.

Matt McGregor 

Matt brings 13 years of expertise in the finance industry, having served as a mortgage broker, financial adviser, and strategy/compliance specialist across several practices, including McGregor Wealth Management. At Runway to Retirement, he drives the adoption of newest technology to optimize our courses and services, making your journey to retirement planning simpler and more effective.
 
Matt also ensures our courses and resources meet rigorous industry compliance standards, empowering pre-retirees with trustworthy, actionable strategies. When he’s not enhancing our platform, Matt enjoys being an avid surfer and spending time with his family and friends.

Laura McGregor 

 

Laura began her career in financial planning in 2011, starting with roles in various financial advisory firms, including contributions to a national dealer group.
She gained experience over the years in client services, risk management, and advisory positions across different practices, including a stint in Sydney, before returning to her home on the Sunshine Coast.
 
Laura now thrives at a McGregor Wealth Management as an Associate Adviser, enjoying the dynamic office culture dedicated to supporting real people with practical financial plans.
 
At Runway to Retirement, Laura serves as a Design Expert, bringing the platform’s podcast, courses and resources to life with visually engaging, user-friendly designs that empower pre-retirees to create confident retirement strategies.
